About this tour

Cordillera Huayhuash – Mini-Huayhuash Trek – 4 Days

Then the shortened 4 day Mini-Huayhuash trek allows you to experience an abbreviated version of the longer trek; while not compromising on the stunning views.

As an aside; this route is a little more demanding than the more classic Santa Cruz trek route. Hence; it is considered to be suitable for novice trekkers and hikers; however ensuring that a program of acclimatisation is followed properly before departure. During the trek you will be rewarded with a series of glacial lakes and snow capped nevadas along the way.

This 4 day route includes a warm-up trek to Marian Village as part of the program.

It’s important to note that there are many route variations lasting from 3-7 days. Some itineraries require a long drive to the trailhead at Queropalca; before getting into the Cordillera Huayhuash to begin the trekking.

This 4 Day trek is centred around the incredible Jahuacocha Lake area; considered one of the most scenic places in alpine trekking, to trek and camp out.

Along the route; you’ll see the important sights of the Cordillera Huayhuash; hit the Rondoy Valley, scale the impressive Sambunya Pass and experience the natural beauty of Jahuacocha Lake.
